Hansen Tiam Sun makes paintings that bridge the gap between abstraction and naturalism. His works show a penchant for figurative tendecies, even as he takes inovative approaches to the abstract and conceptual. By blending together disparate movements, genres , and mediums, Hansen collapses false dichotomies and gives rise to truly unique works of self-expressions. Working deftly to incoporate spontaneous movement into technically orthodox compositions, Hansen gives visual representation to the merging of Eastern and Western artistic practices. He has developed a unique style that is " a mixture of semi-abstract and minimalis art. Through this mixture he brings the abstract into the Contemporary Abstraction.
